🛠️ My Setup
To ensure new projects keep coming to life, of course the right equipment is essential.
Here’s a small insight into the tools and technology I mainly work with.
🖨️ 3D Printing
The heart of my workshop is currently my:
Bambu Lab X1 Carbon with 4-slot AMS

The printer is used for a wide variety of projects:
- illuminated signs
- lithophanes
- lamps
- functional workshop solutions
- small gifts and toys
- combinations with laser projects
I mainly use the AMS for:
- multi-color printing
- automatic material changes
- using different PLA, ABS, or PETG types without constantly swapping filaments 😄
💻 CAD & Design
For design and custom models, I mainly work with:
- Fusion 360
- 3Dconnexion SpacePilot Pro

For technical or functional parts in particular, CAD has become almost as exciting for me as the actual printing.
Honestly, I wouldn’t want to give up the CAD mouse anymore – especially for complex models or longer design sessions 😄
💡 Electronics & LED Projects
A large part of my projects combines 3D printing with electronics.
I often use:
- Wemos D1 Mini boards
- WS2812 LEDs
- resistors
- push buttons & switches
- LED power supplies

Many of my lamps and LED projects can be:
- dimmed
- switched
- animated
- or individually configured
Depending on the project, this can result in anything from a simple nameplate to a fully illuminated gadget 😄

🔧 Workshop & Tools
Of course, classic workshop equipment is also essential:
- soldering station
- power supplies
- measuring instruments
- oscilloscope
- spectrum analyzer
- VNA (Vector Network Analyzer)
This area increasingly overlaps with my amateur radio hobby.
